Values

Intangibles Pyramid

Values are the basis of all our intangibles, just as the atom is the basis of all tangible items. Whenever we enhance or otherwise change a value we create needs and wants.

It is then necessary to determine the quantity or quality of the needs and wants that will be sufficient to enhance the underlying value – which creates our goals and objectives.

To achieve our goals and objectives we must engage in a process. All processes, whether tangible or intangible, consume resources.  When a required resource has been consumed the process stops until the resource is replenished.  The two most common resources that are required in any intangible process are the time of one or more individuals and money.  Our time is the most valuable of all resources because it is the only resource that can never be replenished.

Businesses are merely a collection of complementary processes whose purpose is to produce a profit.
